This was my favorite fic of the 
sshg_exchange, hands down. It was just a delight to read from beginning to end in every respect: As suspenseful action adventure, as humor, as a tale with whimsy and imaginative magic that brought the portraits to life as characters in their own right, with its sly sense of humor about ship shibboleths, and featuring very appealing but imho, very in character Snape and Hermione. Both hilarious and warm. Mundungus was an author I hadn’t read before, and she delivered, not one, but two Exchange favorites that round. One of the pleasures of exchanges like this, finding new favorites.
