This was well done. You managed to give them the hint of a break at the end but without actually resolving anything between them - something we are all too familiar with from the show!
I liked Laura's conflicted thoughts, Bill's careful attempts to draw her out regarding the dreams and I found her response entirely characteristic - there is enough respect and affection between them that she wants to give him some sort of answer and yet she can't bring herself to open up completely. For his part, he knows better than to push her but makes it clear in actions as much as words that he'll be there for her whenever she needs him.
Great resolution to this story.

What a great chapter! I really enjoyed Laura's inner ramblings, and even more so the witty banter between her and Bill. Great job! This is a really cool read. I've told you before and I'll tell you again, you're a very good writer. Can't wait for the next installment.
